This is a replacement motor with pinion gear for the EZ-start 2 starting system for Traxxas Vehicles. This is the main drive motor for the EZ-start 2 system, so if your motor goes bad you can replace it. This is the upgraded unit for the TRX 3.3 engines, and replaces the older TRA5278 unit.
